Learn more about the Engineering Design Club.

Engineering Design Club is a club focused on helping students improve design skills and build a network of designers on BYU campus.

We focus on the design process and 6 different skills that contribute the design process: Sketching, CAD Modeling, Programming, Engineering Analysis, Prototyping, and Microcontrollers. Additionally, to prepare students for job searching, we encourage creating a portfolio with different projects that can be used to show future employers.

To apply these engineering skills typically have multiple groups working on different projects. Outside of regular club meeting time we have trainings from senior club members on the club skills. Some of the recent projects that we've worked on is an Iron Man helmet, a prosthetic hand for a real person and personal lamps. We also heavily focus on competing in SIOY (Student Innovator of the Year).
